Hawaiian Flowers

We recently were in Hawaii where we had a fetish with all their tropical flowers that are unique to the islands! We can only import some of these blooms due to the delicate nature, perishability, and agricultural laws. There were so many growing wild that locals referred to as weeds! Our favorite is the Jade Vine-the blue and purple claw type flowers…they are extremely rare and their color is remarkable! Another favorite is the rainbow eucalyptus tree…the bark had all the colors of the rainbow in it. Wedding florists use birch and aspen bark a lot to wrap around vases…if only we had access to rainbow eucalyptus tree bark! What a colorful world of flowers we have!

This little white angel shaped flower is none other than an angel flower but the effects of even touching this are deadly!

Rainbow eucalyptus trees were striking in color, had us wishing we had our own grove!

Brooke Schultz - Gorgeous, Calie! It’s so fun to feel your passion for what you do through your blog. And WHOA. That bark is amazing!
