Melissa was one of our destination brides last month that had a very organic, natural, and rustic feeling wedding with lots of varieties of succulents and other fun organic elements worked into her bouquet! Bridesmaids bouquets were simple lime green hydrangeas finished in a burlap ribbon, and the grooms boutonniere was finished in twine to compliment the bridal bouquet! Congratulations Melissa! Cara & Matt are getting married next month…they are both really special people to me in that Cara is my sister in law, and Matt my soon to be brother in law! Cara’s bridal picture bouquet consisted of coral peony tulips finished in coral satin ribbon with a vintage gold brooch. We can’t wait for their gorgeous wedding flowers next month! Coral is a hot color this year for weddings and it’s easy to see why. It’s fresh, vibrant, and compliments just about any other color. Below are a couple arrangements we made up for some very special people (You know who you are!) with coral ranunculus, coral garden roses, coral spray roses and a variety of other garden flowers.

Karyn & Phil’s chosen venue was Wadley Farms {one of our favorite wedding venues} where their ceremony took place in the recently renovated Railroad Building. In there they have french doors down each side of the building, vaulted ceilings with wooden beams, a beautiful hand scraped wooden floor, and a gorgeous stone mantle and fire place. Very rustic. There, we decorated the fire place mantle with a garland full of flowers and candles which would be the backdrop for their ceremony. Karyn had a beautiful collection of rust and metallic color hurricanes which we used for the reception centerpieces. They were layered on her jeweled square place mats and adorned with a silver dollar eucalyptus wreath. We used rust mini calla lilies, rust alstromeria lilies, rust roses, magnolia leaves, cream spray roses, cream stock, cream cushion poms, seeded & silver dollar eucalyptus, and rust swiss satin ribbon to finish off her wedding bouquet, corsages, and boutonnieres. When we book a client we often design the flowers for the bridal picture bouquet and of course the wedding flowers. However, it is rare indeed to be asked to design a whole room full of flowers for their proposal….english garden roses, mokara orchids, tulips, hydrangea, amaranthus, and anthuriums to name a few flanked these arrangements. Traditionally, red is symbolic of love and romance. However, we wanted to add in some pink and lime for some fun and brightness much like our bride’s personality. Very, very romantic if you ask us to have your fiancé fill your place of work with flowers. These are not all of the arrangements because their were so many but this will give you a good idea of what our bride was surprised with!
